Yeah people/companys copy the original ‘silly bandz ‘ to make more money and stuff like that because the oringinal is ‘ silly bandz ‘ and other companys call it shaped rubber bandz or something like that. It’s annoying but I have different brands of silly bandz. Also I have alot like in the 100′s and i wear some not alot. And yes, they are banned fro m sone ( alot ) as well as mine but some people like wear 1, 2, 3, or 4 now but luckily my school prinapal forgot they bann them. Also, I think some ” brands ” of silly bandz because as i said people copy the original.

silly bands are fun and entertaining with there shapes i dont think you should say there bad that is stupid to think there bad me and my sister have bought hundrens of silly bands and we have never had a problem sill bands are awesome i bet you just dont want to spend the money on your children

I have 12 silly bads! and i dont usually wear them around my wrists, because i have 3 badds that uyou can open and close so i put all my silly bands on then and make a necklace! and i love doing it because its very rare and some people dont know where to get them even tho i got them and clairs for $4.00. But still i mean who wouldn’t! its waaaay better then cutting of your circulation!

I am writing an article for the school newspaper on the “silly band splurge”
I would enjoy to hear everyones input ( be descriptive) on silly bandz.

Our company produces a line of silicone rubber bands and we are quite proud of their educational value and product safety. All have been tested and conform to US guidelines.

Our Bandz are called CityBandz and feature historical or icons of the City of New York and Philadelphia. Other cities are coming. Each of the bands hav cultural and historical value and can be looked up on their websites. Take a look. They are fun and teachers should like them.

Toy assoc, we could find no information about any recall on the brand of bands you specified (which I removed since I could find no proof whatsoever). We called that manufacturer, who informed us that they have called packs of bands back from distributors since they were being “retired” to make way for new products and to make them more collectible.

If you have any proof or documentation or CPSC publication on the matter, we’d love to see it!

Note that there is no information about them cutting off circulation other than an anecdote by a school nurse (who is certainly not a medical expert). But you are right to avoid them for children under three. In fact, we’d strongly recommend that you don’t give Silly Bandz to children under 5 and I believe that’s the manufacturer’s stance as well.

I have heard about them cutting off the circulation. So I have told my kids they are not allowed to wear them. It was on GMA about it. I sorry but if something going to hurt my child I don’t need it. I have done my research and I will not allow them in my house because I have four children under three and my teenagers think you need to wear a hundred of them Nope.

I DON’T wear them but i have over 200 glowing kinds glitter and charms and rings and scented but I keep them in a safe container so they don’t break and if u want to wear them get like something SAFE to put around ur neck like in the googly bands charms and there is a stretchy necklace and put the silly bands on and u have something that can’t cut ur circulation off cuz its loose its what my sister does. I just keep them in a box. Never heard off it being recalled.

OMG Journey! 2 people told you that! Are they scientists? Doctors involved in skin cancer research? 13 year olds who heard it from a friends friends friend?

Seriously, there is absolutely NO evidence silicon bands cause skin cancer. None. But it’s been 100% proven as scientific fact that the big glowing orb in the sky does cause skin cancer. Seriously. So go to the beach, but make sure you don’t sweat on your Silly Bandz!

Well I wear silly bands and 2 people told me that 1st. Dont wear silly bandz when you sweat because they can give you skin cancer. 2nd. Dont wear the glow in the dark silly bandz they give you skin cancer. And no they arent knock off brand.
