Safe cracking: a dying art?

There are a lot of traditional arts and activities that are being forgotten by our modern culture. Things like remembering phone numbers, developing film and good old fashioned burglary. Sure the kids know all about identity theft and internet scams, but who will teach them the fundamentals like safe cracking? Plamobil safe cracking toy to the rescue.

I’m just glad someone is thinking about the children. Any idea what the compressed air is for?

Always nice to see that the toy industry continues to remember it’s obligation to teach values and ethics to our children.

Just found your blog while trying to figure out what a Baukogan is and why someone would want to buy my 7 year old son one for his birthday.

Had to laugh at them appearing at your Waldorf school..they just sneak in everywhere, but there are lots of us out there in Waldorf schools, “Waldorf lite” schools and even public schools who value our children’s ability to be creative and be kids as long as possible minus TV, video games and commercial characters.

    Keep up the good work!

I usually like PlayMobil’s toys but this one is just plain wrong.

What a great idea, to teach the children to break into safes. Good toy.
