I’m no prude or anything, but I’m dumbfounded the promotional video shows little kids riding the scooters without a helmet. It misrepresents the potential hazard of them. I have Mini Micro scooters and they’re very good, but make no mistake, kids fall off them all of the time and bang various body parts on account of it, including their heads.

Ummm, Fred Head, notice the title of this post is called “The Best Kids Scooter”, not “The Best Trick Scooter”. Most 7 years olds wouldn’t know how to handle an Ace of Spades deck, nor want to spend that much money or time building their own rig.

Maybe it’s time to write a post on the best trick scooters…

The video showed children using the Mini and Maxi kick scooters without wearing helmet or any protective gear!!!!!!!

Weight Limit: The mini kickboard is constructed with a weight recommendation of 60lbs. Please note that the scooter displays a weight limit of 20kg (44 lbs). The reason for the discrepancy is that European standards dictate that weights are approved and displayed only in increments of 10kg (22 lbs), so the next available weight category of 30 kg, or 66 lbs, would have put the displayed recommended weight limit OVER its actual recommendation of 60 lbs.
